Here are a few highlights of Suguna’s main quality parameters for Soya seed, Soya meal and Soya oil:

The quality parameters for Soya
  • The Maximum allowed moisture content is 10%
  • The silica and sand in the supplies cannot exceed 2%
  • The expected protein content is 48%
  • The damage to the supplies cannot be more than 2%
  • The maximum allowed immature seeds in the supply is 2%

The quality parameters for Soya Meal (Soya extraction – A [48%])

  • The Maximum allowed moisture content is 11%
  • The silica and sand in the supplies cannot exceed 1%
  • The maximum allowed fiber is 6%
  • The expected protein content is 48%
  • The maximum allowed Urease activity is 0.2 units
  • Accepted protein solubility is 75%
  • The supply should be free from Citrinin, Afllatoxin B1, Ochratoxin, T2 toxin
  • Over-toasted charred lumps and supplies with foul smell are strictly rejected

The quality parameters for Soya Meal (Soya extraction – AB[46%])

  • The Maximum allowed moisture content is 11%
  • The silica and sand in the supplies cannot exceed 1%
  • The maximum allowed fiber is 6%
  • The expected protein content is 46%
  • The maximum allowed Urease activity is 0.2 to 0.3 units
  • Accepted protein solubility is 75%
  • The supply should be free from Citrinin, Afllatoxin B1, Ochratoxin, T2 toxin
  • Over toasted charred lumps and supplies with foul smell are strictly rejected

The quality parameters for Hypro Soya Meal – 50%

  • The Maximum allowed moisture content is 11 %
  • The silica and sand in the supplies cannot exceed 1 %
  • The maximum allowed fiber is 4%
  • The expected protein content is 50%
  • The maximum allowed urease activity is 0.2 to 0.4 units
  • Accepted protein solubility is 75%
  • The supply should be free from Citrinin, Afllatoxin B1, Ochratoxin, T2 toxin

The quality parameters for Soya oil

  • The maximum allowed moisture content is 0.25%
  • The maximum allowed free fatty acid is 1.5%
  • The maximum allowed iodine value is 125 Wijs

  • Good realization with low cost of production and high yield
  • Small crop production cycle (90 to 120 days)

  • Consistent demand in the market makes it easy to sell the crop
  • Requires lesser rainfall compared to cotton and rice which means reduced dependency on unpredictable climatic conditions (Soya seed requires only 700 to 800 cm rain)
